Wade Diebner is CEO and co-founder of Life Settlement Resources, LLC (“LSR”). Wade is responsible for the corporate vision, overall strategic direction and strategic alliance management of LSR. Wade is focused on growing business through the formation of strategic alliances with both suppliers and purchasers of life settlement policies while enhancing the overall growth of LSR.
Wade has over 13 years of experience building financial service companies. Wade is also managing Partner of DT Capital Management LLC, a California Registered Investment Advisor. Wade has 6 years of experience running closed end life settlement funds. Wade also was a General Partner and Head trader at Primarius Capital from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that Mr. Diebner was a Specialist/Head Trader for Charles Schwab and company beginning in 1996. |
Dr. J. T. “Dock” Houk

Dr. J. T. Houk, whom everyone calls "Dock," is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover; Brown University; University of Economics, Helsinki (Fulbright) - MBA; LaSalle University – JD; and American University - Ph.D. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, and when his father built a plywood manufacturing plant in Georgia, the family moved to Sea Island, Georgia where he grew up.
“Dock” Houk, one of the most respected men in the financial industry, currently CEO of National Heritage Foundation (NHF). NHF, which he began in 1968, has brought all the advantages of a public foundation to family donors. He is a pioneer and originator in the field of fund raising for charities, which he calls, "Philanthropic Marketing."
Dock truly lives his role as charitable entrepreneur, having given away his total assets to charity. This dynamic executive accepts an annual salary of $12,000 from NHF for his 80-hour work week and he still can give away $1,000 per month to charitable and family concerns. Through Dock’s vision, the National Heritage Foundation has established more than 10,000 projects that will ultimately deliver more than $5 billion for varied philanthropic purposes.
Dock has written nine books including an award-winning text in Basic Economics, technical books on Development Banking (translated into Spanish), books on tennis, fundraising, charitable entrepreneurship, and his most recent, “To Give is to Live.” |

Mr. Midlam has over 31 years experience in both corporate and field management related to insurance and financial industry education, field training and entry-level to top financial recruitment. Before joining AMS, he was Director of Management Development with a major international insurance carrier where he was responsible for design, delivery and implementation of first and second line management skills to support corporate and regional business plans.
Esteemed as a creative and resourceful expert, Mr. Midlam has received the Purdue University Marathon Award in recognition of his achievements. He holds FIC and FICF designations and is a published author in Life Sales and Broker's World Media and co-author of The Retirement Guide.

Eric V. Miller, FLMI is President of Capital Wealth Strategies which is the exclusive representative for United National Funding; a leading asset based lender and premium finance partner in the insurance industry.
Prior to joining Capital Wealth Strategies in 2008, Eric served as Senior Vice President, Special Markets for The Potomac Group, a Crump Group company (formerly BISYS) since 2004. He had corporate-wide responsibility for premium finance at Crump Group. Eric began his financial services career 22 years ago with Mutual of New York’s executive development program where he became one of the youngest corporate officers. He worked in the Real Estate Division, followed by heading up the Secondary Limited Partnership trading desk at Financial Services Corporation, and later as a Sales Manager in the Atlanta Agency. He was then promoted to Director of In-force Marketing in 1990, and Associate Managing Director in 1998 where he helped develop the Brokerage Distribution Channel. Eric went on to Penn Mutual as Regional Director and partner in Executive Compensation Concepts prior to joining The Potomac Group.
Eric was born in New Haven, CT, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computers Science with a concentration in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. He holds NASD Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. Eric lives in Northern Virginia with his two children: a 13 year old son with a heart of gold, and an 11 year old daughter who is gifted and talented. |

Bob Ritter has been in life insurance sales and sales management for over four decades. Fresh from Williams College with a degree in Psychology, Bob started with Mass Mutual in northern New Jersey. At age 26, he was appointed General Agent by Mass Mutual in Oakland, California -- the youngest General Agent ever appointed by that company. Three years later he took over a New York City agency for Mass Mutual where he was twice awarded the National Manpower Award, the company’s most prestigious award for the development of sales leaders.
In the early 1980s, Bob formed InsMark, a company dedicated to producing transferable marketing techniques for a wider group of producers. The success of InsMark has been phenomenal as 150+ companies have sponsored InsMark products utilized by over 30,000 producers.
Bob is a life member of MDRT and was a qualifier for Top of the Table and International Forum until the growth of InsMark required all of his time. A dynamic and entertaining speaker, he was featured at the 1995, 1996, 2004, and 2008 MDRT annual meetings. He was also a featured speaker at the 2002 and 2004 Top of the Table as well as the 2003 and 2006 International Forum.
Bob is a past member of the MDRT Foundation’s Board of Directors and was a member of the Split Dollar Sub-Task Force of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU). He is also the Founder and Past President of the Diablo Advocates, an organization dedicated to youth opportunities.

- Thornhill Financial Corporation, a Financial Services and Registered Investment Advisor. Founded in 1979.
- Principal Builder, a California Real Estate Development Company, and expeditor of 1031 exchanges, and which has since become Melcan Investment, Inc.
- Brown and Thornhill Securities LTD., a full service Broker-Dealer. Founded in 1982.
- First Financial Resources, a California-based, publicly held, National Insurance and Financial Services Distribution Corporation, which now maintains 100 offices nationwide. Founded in 1987. Currently Gary serves as Chairman of the Board.
- The Private Consulting Group Inc. an Oregon based Broker-Dealer and a wealth optimization firm. That has 25 offices throughout the country. Founded in 1997.
With the economic prosperity of the 1990’s, Gary continued his disciplined and ambitious efforts to establish diverse financial services companies. In 1993, he became a
founder of Heritage Bank of Commerce in San Jose, California. In the latter part of 1995, he started BDG Angel and BDG Venture Capital Fund, now SandHill/ThorBen LLC, an investment vehicle to finance emerging technology companies. Before the decade was over, Gary had co-founded or founded six more companies:
- Valley Community Bank in Pleasanton, California.
- Life Assurance Premium Finance Corporation; Nevada.
- SandHill Capital LLC (venture banking and mezzanine financing company) (Fund Portfolio consists of: SandHill Capital II, IIQ and III Venture Finance Funds/Sakura Venture Fund).

- Private Client Services International, LLC, an offshore insurance and planning firm.
